I have no idea…
I know how I chose in my primary. And let me tell you as an Independent, I was very pleased that the state I live in, West Virginia, I was allowed to choose the party I wanted to vote for. And it wasn’t hard to choose which one was more important: So I chose the Republican primary ticket -
NOT!
Today, I was, out of the Democrat 2 to 1 that the TV bobble heads keep talking about, I was the 1. Yep, even when the electronic machine malfunctioned and the polling place lady saw my vote, I was a proud 1 of the 2-er. Mind you, neither candidate was MY original candidate. And I would want nothing more than a woman running this country, however, it was all about the corporate shills for me. Frankly, those who have been shills for much longer than the other did NOT get my vote.
So there, that’s my story and I”m stickin’ to it. Be good and vote. If you don’t vote, you have no reason to complain, unless of course you are under 18 then you should get involved and talk to your parents or those who you are close to that vote. Sometimes adults are dumb and they make very bad decisions, so it’s up to you to try. I tried with my mom: she voted for Bush twice (I am STILL cringing), no matter how hard I tried she simply argued and out of spite voted for the chimp. Adults/Parents can be just as rebellious as their children.
Apathy is a cancer, so put down those cheetohs, turn off the tube and make a difference. Even if the person you wanted to win didn’t, it doesn’t matter, because as long as you do something, someday it’s going to pay off.
Hearts and kisses to you all,
Aan
